How to Participate

HowToParticipate-01
Most Indigenous students that come to Thunder Bay are from remote northern First Nation communities. They have to leave their family, friends, and communities behind at a very young age and are forced to make an extreme adjustment by moving to a larger urban city.As a community it’s time to Wake the Giant. Make noise and raise awareness by joining the movement. Help Thunder Bay become a more welcoming community. We want everyone to feel safe when they come to our city.

Share the Logo at Your Organization/Business

To participate in Wake the Giant, local businesses and organizations are asked to proudly display a Wake the Giant decal at their location which will identify their site as an ‘inclusive space’ for Indigenous youth in Thunder Bay.

Those that share the logo will be provided with a Wake the Giant Cultural Awareness Package that has education and resources to share with your staff, customers and the community.

If you are a business or organization and want to support the project with your own Wake the Giant decal please fill out the following request form.

Wear a Shirt

We partnered with Ungali Clothing Co. to create these awesome shirts. Proceeds support the initiative while helping us spread the word! Join the movement and wear the shirt, and don’t forget to share it on your social pages with #WakeTheGiant.

Shirts are available online at: ungalli.com
Or you can stop by the Ungali + Local Collective at 16 Cumberland St. S
